Chelsea’s Choice a great way to raise awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation

So the Chelsea’s Tour 2016 finished last Friday,  myself and Cheryl Carter (PCSO for the City) have been involved in the  rolling out of  this production  over a 3 week period.  We organised a total of 33 performances to be shown in Schools and Community venues in South Cambs and Cambs City.   I have just been working on the stats for South Cambs   A total of 2,673 people saw the performance.   We still await the City stats.  Chelsea’s Choice  is a hard hitting theatre play raising  awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation.  The make  up of these people were:-

2,384 students in year 9 – together with some year 10 groups.
154 teachers
43 Professionals – including Social Workers, Youth Workers, Council Workers, Nurses and others.
16 Members of Cambs Police
55 Parents
21 Young people not attending a school setting.

The performances were greatly received by the schools and people attending the local community events.

National CSE awareness  day is  tomorrow –  18th March 2016

SPEAK OUT AGAINST CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION – IT IS NOT OK IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS EXPLOITING A YOUNG PERSON.  LISTEN TO YOUR INSTINCT, IF IT DOESN’T FEEL RIGHT – TELL SOMEONE – #say something –
