Tack & Equestrian theft
Urgent message for those people owning tack or equestrian equipment.
A business premises in Oakington Road, Dry Drayton, Cambridge was broken into overnight on the 5th/6th May. Offenders broke into a locked metal container. Once inside they have dis-armed the alarm system and stolen the following items:- 10 x saddles, 22 bridles, 1 x non-road registered Honda 254 Track quad bike and 1 x strimmer and clippers. Enquiries are on-going. However if anybody saw anyone acting suspiciously in this area last night please let us know immediately. The crime reference number is CF 0177210515. It would appear that offenders used a vehicle and came across the back fields to gain entry to the site, If you have friends or family that own or use stables, please let them know of this crime and mention marking their property i.e. saddles etc so it can be identified if stolen. If anyone wants any further information about tack marking or other marking products, please do not hesitate to contact me direct.
